A silty drain

This cctv drain survey footage is from a 6 inch diameter, earthenware / PVC drain in a house in Greater London.
In this case, the drain was found to be in good condition, with some silt build up.

London Drain Inspection Survey - Video 2
Off-set drain joints
|
In this survey our drainage engineer surveys a cast iron / earthenware drain, 4 inch diameter.
As you'll see in the drain survey, the drain joints are now offset, which leads to flooding of the basement area.
With this drain problem, the recommended action was to replace the damaged pipe sections to prevent any future solid build up, drain blockages or flooding.

London Drain Inspection Survey - Video 3
Kinked drain joint [blocked drain London]
|
In this drain survey, the cctv drainage footage shows water retention in a blocked drain due to a kink in the drain pipe.
Visibility inside the blocked drain was low due to lots of steam inside the pipe.
In this case, the solution is a drain excavation, so that the pipe can be reseated at the correct angle.
